1.2. Release Notes 2.2.3
1.2.1. This is a bug fix release in v2.2.x series
1.2.2. Improvements and bug fixes
- NET-2132: “discovery without advancing generation number”. New configuration parameter discovery.newGenerationFrequencyDays
instructs the server to create new generation of objects in the database only once per day (or several days)
instead of after each network discovery. The value of this parameter is the number of days; the server
updates existing database objects after each network discovery until it reaches this predetermined number
of days, after which it creates new objects. This helps control the size of the database tables in
exchange to losing some granularity in the historical discovery data. Default value is “1”.
- fixed a bug that caused an exception in the data processing code right after network discovery
- NSGDB-162: Updated MIB CISCO-ENTITY-VENDORTYPE-OID-MIB to pick up latest Cisco device model names and numbers
- NSGDB-163: added self monitoring variable indicating time since last discovery
